Today was our last day to work on our powerpoints and finish them up. I had already finished mines 15 minutes into the lesson and thought I worked really well on it. I edited it, finished the bibliography and proofread the whole thing after I was done. However, I was a little worried about my font and thought it was too small for Mr. Sparks to read, but I didnt have time to cahnge it since i had already printed it out and there was no time. I still hope I did well in it overall.

Today we continued working on our power point presentations. I finished the last slide on my characteristics, then I got busy with my bibliography and the designs using fonts, backgrounds and colors. I worked well again today and got alot of my work done. I just need one more lesson to finish off, which is actually the day to hand them in. I plan to have finished my project early by the next lesson since i dont have much of work to do.

Today we went back to work on our powerpoint presentations. I worked really well today, finishing 3 slides. I have 2 more slides and im ready to present. I found perfect pictures i can use for next time and have good bullet point information in mind. Im assuming that I need about one or two more lessons to finish this project since I only need to do a slide and finish off the other one and give the whole presentation some background color and some last finishing touches.

Today we were working on our Powerpoint presentations. Our task was to put 3 pictures into each slide about our three different characteristics and have some bullet point information beside each one. I didnt do the task successfully, thinking that we were only supposed to put one picture per slide and describe that picture. So i obviously wasted a little bit of my time, but atleast i got to catch up after I realized my mistake and fix it before the end of the period. Next time I plan to have done at least two of my slides. I think this project is very easy so far and im getting along with it well and I think im going to work fast and eficiently on what were doing now.

Today was our last day to work on our essays. I wasnt sure if I was going to make it in time, but i managed just fine. I fifnshed my conclusion and had time to edit and summarize the whole essay. I handed it in about 15 minutes before the lesson ended so after I finished I had to find pictures related to my topic for my presentation on powerpoint which we will be working on next week. I found alot of good pictures just perfect for my presentation. My work for today was good and I hope I did well on the essay and all my hard work pays off in the end.

My work today was efficient and I got quite alot done. Although, i felt stressed while I was working becuase I had a test right after humanities and I was feeling nervous, not being able to concentrate on my work. I got to finish my bibliography and I am almost finished my conclusion. All I need to do is summarize and edit it. I got surprised that I got alot done in just one lesson even though I wasnt really concentrating because of all the pressure i felt today. The only problem now is my word limit, I exceeded it, but it shouldnt be a problem after i finish editing and summarizing the whole essay.

Today I expected to have finished my conclusion, but I found out that i still need to write more and make it more interesting. Since I couldnt think of anything on the spot, I decided to move on to writing my bibliography. Things didn't go so bad, although i did expect to have more information in my conclusion. For the next lesson, i have already planned what to write for my conclusion. Im hoping it will work out well and that it fits in with the whole paragraph nicely. I am also hoping that I will finish editing and summarizing in time for the due date to hand it in.

Today I was feeling tired, but releived that I caught up alot with my work. I finally finished my third charcteristic and am now on my conclusion. I think I did well writing the paragraph on my third characteristic. And once again I was pleased that my notes were organized neatly and were in the correct order I wanted to write my notes in. Today we went to the classroom to use the laptops since all the labs were full. Unfortunatley some laptops didnt work for some people and i was one of them, so we had to go work upstairs in some of the available labs to do our work there. I did pretty well and caught up on my paragraph on social class. Although, I didnt get very far his lesson because of all the time wasted before, trying to figure out which labs we were to go in. I'm close to finishing up my essay now and will very soon be moving on to my conclusion.

I felt that todays lesson passed by so quickly as I had just finished typing up my third paragraph and started the next. My third paragraph was on government and law, which I found very easy to type since I had all my information notecards neatly piled and organised in which order I wanted to type the notes in my paragraph. I was a bit dissapointed since I didnt get very far on the next paragraph on social class because of how much time i wasted on the previous paragraph, accidetally typing the exact same notes I wrote last time. I realized after I breifly proofread the whole paragraph that I had been repeating the same notes I had already written from last time. I thought todays lesson was alright except, I wish that I hadnt wasted so much time on one paragraph, otherwise I would have finished the next paragraph by now. I estimate that I need approximatley about four more lessons to finish this essay with all my confidence in my progress so far.

Today i felt that i had progressed alot better in my work, I was able to finish my first paragraph on religion and almost finished my second one on government and law. And writing about government and law was even easier to write about than religion. I did my work on time, I worked very well , with no distractions and my notecards were still very organised and easy to write from. I worked really fast today and time passed by really quickly, but i got everything done and I'm happy that i'm almost done. Today i started writing my essay and so far it turned out well. I got to finish my introduction and I nearly finished writing my first paragraph which is about the Greeks religion. By next time I should be finished paragraph one and move on to the next paragraph. I found this lesson much simpler than I thought it would turn out to be, my notecards on religion were so well organised and I knew exactly which card to use in order and which notes to put in the right place at the right time. I also accoplished my introduction well using a good source of infromation to talk about Greece in general, things like where it was and when the civilization started etc.. I was so happy with my work today and hope that tommorow I can work a little bit faster and more efficiently so I dont waste any precious time I have left to work on this project.

We went back to the multimedia lab to continue planning our essays today. I worked on planning what i was goingh to write for my introduction. I didnt get very far though because i didnt find any good notes to start a good introduction, but im sure that i can come up with a good introduction without the note cards sice i learned quite alot about the ancient Greeks and their lives. Im planning to write my essay tommorow i think im ready to start it now even though i havent fully covered planning a good introduction. Im sure that I can come up with something as I go along.

Today we went up to the multimedia lab to work on planning our essays before writing them. Today was our last day to get to finish our research, we had a substitute today while Mr. Sparks was away. I got to finish up my research and finish my bibliography although, i thought i would be done much quicker, but it ended up taking me the whole lesson. I was actually planning on re-reading my notecards to make sure i didnt write any similar notes during my research, but this lesson seemed to go by quickly as i was finishing up my research that i didnt have time to do anything, but that. I actually wish we had one more lesson to fifinsh up so i can make sure that i didnt do anything wrong in my notes and to check that i hadnt missed out on any more sites for my bibliography.

I planned on finishing up my notes on social class, however things didnt exactly go as i thought they would. I actually ended up finding about half a page of more information on a new website i used today, so i just decided i could write some more since it was finally available. I'm just so happy that I've been using my time wisley and that im catching up with my work quickly. I mostly worked on Social class today I didnt get to finish yet, but I'm planning tommorow to finish up with that and move on to finding some more information on religion since i feel that I have the least amount of notecards for that. I could say that todays work was good since i found myself prepared with alot of notecards.

I was so happy when Mr. Sparks announced to the class that we could finally start doing our research on Google. I immediatley started my research and had found a ton of useful websites. I even used Brainpop.com to watch some videos i had found on ancient Greece. I gathered alot of good information today and felt that i had progressed a lot and made good use of my time. Mr Sparks said we will only have about a week to do our research. I didn't panic though because I think thats just the right amount of time I need to finish my research. I think at the moment I have just the right amount of notecards i need, although i will be sure to add some more.

Today I felt that everything was complete. I added a few more notecards to my piles. About three or more for each. I visited one more website, then reveiwed back to the other websites i had already visited to see if I had missed out on any more notes. I had researched all the websites and there were no more websites to visit. When I was finished things started to get boring to be honest because there was nothing much to do since i had finished researching through all the websites offered on ancient Greece. I had found a little more useful information, but all the infromation i gathered seemed repetetive to me. Im just hoping that soon we can start doing some more advanced research like going on Google to extend the research and to look for more specific detail on my topic or maybe just access to some more helpful multimedia websites on ancient civilizations that we can use.

I was glad when Miss Fletcher was going to show us some more websites we could go on today, I was even more happy when i went to a website called BBC which had everything i needed to know on ancient Greece. Luckily i even found something on social class, just what i needed. I also added about four more cards on Government and law. Once we found one i started looking for more information i could find on Government and law and to my surprise, i had found just the thing. I was happy that i had covered everything and even found before the end of the period some information on social class, but i was a little dissapointed that we still wern't going to work on more sites to expand our research. There wasn't much to be done this lesson except for adding some more information on government and law. I am absaloutley positive that for our next lesson , Miss Fletcher will be showing us some more websites that we can use to expand our research.

I was very happy with what i had accomplished today. I found alot more information on Government and law as well as Social class. I had also found an interesting paragraph on Religion that i thought was very important. I was very happy that i had alot more notecards than before in just three days of working in the multi-media lab, although i'd rather prefer working in the library, where i had found alot more information. Nothing was fond on Grolier online so i stayed with the Brittanicca online website. I found today's lesson very helpful and hope that in the next lesson we can visit more websites, seeing that i have finished researching in the websites were using now.

Today was quite a tiring day for me as it was the last period on a Thursday afternoon, however i did acomplish quite alot. I found some information on Government and law and ended up adding about 3 more cards to my pile. Unfortunatley though, I couldnt find anything on social class. I found some information on Grolier for Government and law as well, but not much to write since the content was the same as i had found on the other website. I'm hoping we get to visit more websites soon because i think i have covered all the information i need so far. Im also hoping that next time i will find more information on Government and law.

Today was our first day in the Multi-media lab. When we got inside Miss Fletcher showed us how to make a shortcut for a website that we are going to be using for finding our research information. Before we began, Mr. Sparks spent a couple of minutes explaining to us the rules and consequences about going on websites that are not to do with our work. As i started off with Brittanicca online, I was pleased to see that there was alot of information on the ancient Greeks in Religion although I couldnt find any information on Government and laws or Social class. I thought the website Grolier wasn't very useful at all, so i decided for today i would just write all i could find on religion.

Today was officially our last day in the library , since i didnt get to finish writing my notes for religion from last time i decided to complete it ,then go over my notes and try to find some more information if i found any on government and law. I couldnt find any more information on government and laws or social class, but im glad that i atleast covered enough information on religion .

When i found out that today we would be the last day we were working in the library, i didnt waste a minute, writing more notes as fast as i could. I finished with the new book i had used in the previous lessons, so i grabbed another book quickly searching for any other information i could find on government and law. It was pretty easy to find and i worked pretty well. Next week we will be going to the multimedia lab to do our research on the internet , which i dont think is as good as researching in books. I find more useful and detailed information in books. In my own time i will be working on my work to get some more notes on religion.

I used the same book for social class and surprisingly found alot more information than i did when i used the other book for taking my first notes on religion. The new book im using now is so much easier to use and will start using that book for my research for my charcteristics. I still need to work harder and work more efficiantly on my research. To be honest i think i could have worked better today if i wern't so tired, but hopefully tomorow i will have more energy to work.

I piled up some more notecards that i put into the social class pocket in my folder. Today I was glad to finally see some good work in progress as i started filling my note cards with more information on social class. From now on I will be using the same book i used today because i found it very helpful with alot of contents on what i needed. Next week i will be writing some more notes on the other characteristics since i have caught up with social class. I need to make sure i have enough note cards for all three of my characteristics.

Today i have progressed alot in the library. I found a perfect new book on social class. Just what i was looking for. I took down alot of lots and already ended up with three new notecards.

Today in the library i took the same books i had to write my bibliography. I also tried to look for more information on social class, but without any luck found my self reading information similar to my notes, I figured that all the good books on ancient Greece were taken before me, so i wouldnt find anything useful or anything based on soacail calss. this was the most difficult characteristic to research on. Tommorow I need to make sure i try different books and find the information i need on social class. I dont think i did really well today and didnt really accomplish anything from getting the same books that i had chosen last time.

Today I looked for more books about social class because of the lack of information i have, but without any luck just found the same basic information that was similar to the ones i already took down. The other books didn't help me much either except just explaining breifly about it. I think I need to add more note cards, which i will do as soon as i'm done with social class. Overall I think i could have worked better in class today if i didnt stick to one book the whole lesson trying to find information on social class. Once we reached the library, I quickly grabbed my books and started research. I decided to search for some information on social class. Unfortunatley I didnt find exactly what i was looking for, but found some basic information based on social class. When I finished searching in all the books I had on social class I only ended up with about two notecards, but withg not enough information. With no time left I decided that tommorow i would have to check out some other books. Despite the fact that i didnt the information i needed I think I did well in class because i found some more information in addition to the ones i had on religion as well as government +laws. ofcourse half of the class time was wasted on looking for a book about social class but i think it helped that today i at least covered some more information and my two other characteristics.

Today we met again in the library. Wasting no time at all, i grabbed by books that i found useful and immediatley started my work. I finished religion so today i focused on Government and laws. I found my information quite easily, finding out alot of information and also learning new things i never new about! I was satistfied with my efficiency today, but was concerned that there was not alot of information about social class, while looking through the books i had. Hopefully when i am done with government and laws i can find the information i need on social class.

I choose three different books on ancient Greece that caught my eye,they looked very interesting and i was sure had helpful resourse. I found alot of information on religion, so i started with that first. I had almost finished taking notes on religion, finding information quickly, but not with enough notecards to be done, but for now it will have to do because it's quality is more important than the quantity. I felt that i accomplished alot today and with the variety of books i have on ancient Greece I can tell that i will have just enough information.

From now on we are going to go to the library every lesson until weve finished taking our notes, which we wrote down on little note cards that are put into the pockets in our file. For the whole lesson we stayed in the library researching books on our civilizations. Mr. Sparks gave us a sheet on how to write a bibliography for a book in the library. During class I finished writing down all the information i need for religion. I also wrote some information on government and laws. The time flew by quickly this lesson and i felt like there was more i could have done if i hadnt wasted so much time on writing more information on religion.

Mr. Sparks was absent so, it was just Miss Fletcher with us today. Today we needed to head to library were we sat down and watched the librarian show us how to write a bibliography for the books that we would use in our essay. We were going touse our books first to get our information and resourses for the essay. We used Easy Bib, a website that the librarian showed us to make our bibliographies. The librarian had already took out all the books we needed on ancient civilizations and kept them neatly in seperate shelves for each civilization. We were not allowed to take our books home, so we needed to make sure that we had all our notes and information written down. We had some time to decide which civilizations we wanted and to start taking down some notes to begin with. I took a look at all the choises of civilizations we could chose from, thinking about which civilization would suit my characteristics best and i was mostly interested in learning something new, like about ancient Greece. I took a look at the books and finally decided that my civilization would be ancient Greece.

For two days wev'e been working on coming up with guiding questions for our project on ancient civilizations. We came up with a bunch of different questions on Social Class, Art and Architecture and Government and laws. Today we needed to come up with our own guiding questions on two or at least one different characteristics of civilizations. I chose Religion, Social Class, and Gowvernment + Laws. I think i could have done better in coming up with questions. Trying to think of good guiding qauestions was both an easy and hard task.
